Obama Acted Stupidly

Author: Admin account

One of my favorite things in life is listening to someone, when asked to give their opinion on something, begin their answer with “I do not know all the facts, but…”. It is at this point when I close my ears to the response because it becomes more about the person just wanting to hear himself or herself speak.
The person completely and totally throws any sense of credibility out the window before providing
a response by prefacing his or her statement with: “I don’t know all the facts, but…”. People so often
pretend to be experts when they are really just “know-it-alls” who poison the minds of
unsuspecting listeners with their own opinions, not facts. Even if a response is somewhat fact-based,
a spin is put on the response by the speaker which tailors it to his or her own perspective or beliefs.
Our President’s answer to the question regarding the short arrest of Henry Louis Gates Jr. was a good example of this. Read the police report below:

href=”http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2009/0723092gates1.html”>http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2009/0723092gates1.html

Did you read it? Can you find anywhere in it any sign of the arresting office acting ’stupidly’? I am not going to get into the topic of racial profiling in this country. Why? Because this is not an example of racial profiling. This case is an example of a guy (Gates) who was mad, real mad because he is an elitist, pampered intellectual used to getting his way and for once someone was getting in his way. The fact that he is black is completely irrelevant. Gates himself said on CNN that he was going to USE this as a social experiment for his students. Lucky them.
Regarding Obama. Way to upset the police, that’s always a good idea. In all seriousness, this is yet another example of the profound arrogance of this man and his liberal ways. His answer should have been that he did not know the facts and would not comment, period. His narcissism got in the way once again. Liberals always feel the need to butt into every aspect of our lives. We are seeing this with the stimulus, the auto industry, banking and finance, healthcare, you name it and we will continue to see this more for the next 3 years. Who wants to live this way? This is not the way I want to live and I believe it is slowly becoming apparent that many do not either.

Can you read this Mr. Vice President?

Can you read this Mr. Vice President?

A little old news here but I have been too busy with my real job to comment on revelations made by Mr. Vice President on ABC News’ This Week last Sunday that he and Barry ‘misread’ the state of the economy when they entered office. This is of course the reason why unemployment has exceeded their initial calculations and why there may be a need for a third stimulus package. Isn’t ‘misread’ a great term to use? I wonder how many back room aids it took to craft that single word as a reason why the administrations economic policies are failing?
Does the American public have the ability to ‘misread’ the sincerity of this statement? Think about it. I know plenty of people who have a huge problem admitting when they do something wrong. The current administration believes that they cannot publicly keep blaming Bush directly, but they can buy some time by indirectly blaming him and at the same time not taking the blame themselves. The fact is it is not too early to stop the current stimulus plan. An estimate I have heard is that only 10% of the stimulus money will be spent by the end of the year. Would it not make sense that if they actually misread how bad the economy was, that they can now READ how bad it is and make a couple of changes in the plans current direction? Am I a complete idiot for thinking this? The problem with these guys is that they are so ridiculously arrogant and drunk on their own wine that the refuse to change their current course. Their inability to do this also validates the initial reaction to the package which was this was full of wasteful spending projects and not all about the job creation they so proudly stated it was. It is not to late Mr. Vice President to put on your reading glasses and take a closer look.

Why Jim DeMint Rocks

Thank you! Thank you!

Thank you! Thank you!

You ever have a moment? I mean a moment, moment? Well, I just did. If you have ever read any entry in this blog you have probably come to the realization that I am not the greatest writer in the world. I can talk, oh man can I talk! I can also argue with the best of them, but for some reason a kinship with the keyboard is not something that I have been blessed with. This is why I stay away from opinion pieces and long editorial and link to articles that I deem informative and representative of the points I can make with the mouth but not with the fingers.
My moment you ask? PLEASE click on the link below, sort of an excerpt from a new book called Saving Freedom by Senator Jim DeMint who proves there are good things coming out of South Carolina:

http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/27584/

My favorite part? Well, I like action items! I also like the whole thought of constantly questioning an existing thought process in order to better yourself and the people around you. This allows YOU to take the lead and not be the follower. Here is an exerpt that sums this up and WHY I created this blog in the first place.:

First, we must remake America’s culture of responsibility: in our family life, in our communities, and in our businesses. We must prepare our nation for its rebirth of freedom, so that when government finally does begin to change, our culture and economy can hit the ground running.

And second, this cultural renewal must assert itself in the political arena. Elected politicians are only as unresponsive as their constituents allow. They know that every letter and email and phone call represents hundreds more just like them. They know that Big Government’s worst enemy is an informed citizenry, ready at the next election to punish anyone who infringes on our God-given and constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms. Get involved, and I promise – we will see results.

Its O.K., buddy! You can hang with me on the 4th

Its O.K., buddy! You can hang with me on the 4th

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try to plan a party something always comes up to ruin it. This is why I do not throw parties. The money, the mess, the hassle trying to ‘please’ your guests, the violence against peaceful protests….It is just a pain.
Anyway, as I have posted before:

http://freetheelephant2012.com/?p=458

The thought was to open U.S. embassy’s around the world to Iranian guests and share in the July 4th festivities. I thought it was stupid and evidently it took the actions in the last two weeks demonstrated by the Iranian government to finally convince Obama that the idea was eh, not so good:

I have been stewing on this for awhile so I apologize for being so late to the game, but ever since the daughter of the Governor of Alaska decided to make it part of her life to speak to students across the United States I have been profoundly struck by the anger this has caused.
I ask you to do this. Put aside the abortion agrument for a minute. Put aside the absolute anger that you may have for her mother. Put aside the conspiracy theories that you have formed regarding the political motivations of the Republican Party in regard to this issue. I ask you to do this because these are deep emotional issues that have nothing to do with this topic. Nothing.
Just think about the guts this must take. Instead of hiding behind the walls of the Governor’s Mansion in Juneau (or does she live in Wasilla?), she has decided to make sure that students all across the United States think twice before they make the same mistake as she did. What is wrong with this? Why does it seem to me that every time someone tries to do something ethical they get killed for it? Is our society so used to lying and deception that we take the actions of an 18 year old and see complete skepticism? Simply put, what she is doing is good. Living proof that you can pick yourself up from an embarrassing situation and try to make yourself and other people better from it. I have an 11 year old daughter. I would rather have a living example telling her why she should abstain or be careful than some textbook.
Makes me wonder if Ashley Biden decided to become a spokesperson for an anti-drug campaign if the whole country would be ’saddened’ and ’sickened ‘ and blame her father for being behind it? I doubt it.
Here is an article from (feeling pain when I type it) The Huffington post:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-logan-levkoff/bristol-palin-as-non-prof_b_199555.html

What I find most interesting about the article are these lines (’Neil’ is Neil Cole the founder of Candie’s Foundation which Bristol is representing) :

“Neil, since when has abstinence been the only realistic option for teens?
Neil, hasn’t research shown that abstinence only sexuality education is ineffective, often biased, and medically inaccurate?
Neil, isn’t putting a teen mother who has yet to practice what she (or her mother) preaches simply hypocritical?
Neil, do we honestly think that if Bristol were involved in a new relationship that she would practice abstinence indefinitely?”

FOLLOWED BY:

“There is no question that for many teens, abstinence is the best option. However, there are plenty of adolescents who make smart decisions about sex; there are plenty of adults who make poor ones.”

Doctor, you just shot yourself in the foot. If for many teens “abstinence is the best option”, what is wrong with her reinforcing that message then? Who the F are you to say that teens make a “smart decision about sex” when they practice safe sex, and what the heck do adults have to do with her message? Nice jab at her mother also. This is an example of hate toward an individual (really Bristol’s mother) and not to the actual message that person is presenting. Also, Dr. Levkoff this visual “I have a hard-on for Bristol Palin” is a very feminine way of beginning your argument, I can really relate to you.
