Obama: North Dakota Will Be O.K.

Anyone else wondering why Obama did not pay a quick visit to North Dakota over the course of the last 10 days? He was not too busy in the last two months to fly out to L.A. for Leno, go to Chicago for a haircut and take a weekend break at Camp David. Why not stop in and show support for a courageous state where thousands of its citizens are fighting to save there homes and towns? Not enough votes? What if this was New Orleans, Chicago, New York or L.A.?

Of course, there was enough time to to use the floods as a call to do something about global warming!

My favorite part? “Waters in the Red River were 33 feet this morning, according to CNN. That’s 15 feet above flood stage, and close to the record 41.1 feet set in April 1897, according to the network. The river could exceed those levels by Friday or Saturday, officials say.”

1897! 1897! 1897! Come on! If 114 years ago the river was this high that is certainly not an example of global warming. Also, isn’t the main issue why the floods are taking place due to a record amount of snow fall? Geeez.

Climate Czar?

A little late on this but here is someone with formal Socialist ties who was appointed by Obama as his Climate Czar. In this case, the term ‘Czar’ is very appropriate. Remember not all positions need to get Congressional approval so Obama made sure this one did not have to go through any scrutiny in front of the cameras. I still consider these people Cabinet members. Anyone who advises him is HIS selection. Here is a suggestion: Put a lock on your A/C because soon it could be controlled by the United States government:

Although I hate the Huffington Post and all that is even close to it…they just threw their man under the bus. Remember his words during the campaign about Americans conserving energy and dropping the temps in their house to 70 degrees to conserve energy? He is from Hawaii! Did you not know that he is from Hawaii? He has an excuse, he HAS an excuse!

I agree with you Jack:

“We hope today’s decision does not signal the administration is returning to the failed policies of the past, leaving much of America’s vast energy resources locked up while the nation’s demand for energy continues to grow,” Jack Gerard, president of the American Petroleum Institute, said in a statement Wednesday.

The Truth About Obama’s Executive Pay Plan

Folks, sometimes American’s only read the headlines and sometimes the headlines get people elected. When I ‘heard’ about the idea of limiting executive pay to $500K per year for those execs accepting the TARP funds I thought it sounded O.K., but like everything there is MORE to this. Quote followed by article:

“The maximum-wage plan is not retroactive, applying only to companies that tap TARP in the future. The restrictions will apply until a bank pays off its TARP tab and starts behaving. According to an Administration source, “If a bank has restored viability, has paid back the United States government with interest, and is now a completely private-sector bank … then we can return to a time when this is between them and their shareholders.”
