Ya, so it has been awhile. Lot’s of stuff going on in my life. Stumbled upon many interesting items in the last month that I wanted to share but did not have time. I do not get this at all. Here are 10 questions I have regarding Barry’s trip to Denmark:

1. Who is paying for this?
2. How many of Barry’s Chicago donors have the potential to benefit financially if the Olympics are awarded to Chicago?
3. Is he The President of The United States or the President of Chicago?
4. Would he help another city out like this, Grand Rapids for example, if they were trying to win some business overseas?
5. Who the F cares about the Olympics anymore?
6. Are there not some more pressing issues going on in the world for Barry to be concerned about?
7. Does anyone in Denmark know who the hell Oprah is?
8. Has anyone in Denmark ever seen 3 black people in the same room?
9. Can’t Oprah just buy the country and make them award Chicago the Olympics?
10. Why didn’t he bring Nancy with him so she can use her charm to close this deal?

I have never liked Jon Corzine since he spent $63 million of his own money to ‘win’ the Senate seat in New Jersey in 2000. Now after his pitiful performance as Governor the last 4 years where he raised taxes and cut tax breaks ( I know unheard of!) he is in some serious trouble in the upcoming November election. So, what do you do when you are a Dem and you are in trouble? Why bring in Barry of course. Barry can fix anything! He is the Chuck Norris of politics, isn’t he?
It seems that the good people of New Jersey may not be fooled for a second time. Over 60% of them still have a favorable rating of Obama but in this election they are going to focus on what is good for the state and evidently the current Governor is not such a good asset. Imagine that. You live in a state and are actually going to vote for what is the best for your state? Sounds like some smart voters. Is this a sign of things to come?

You want to party with me?

In a new overture to Iran, the Obama administration has authorized U.S. embassies around the world to invite Iranian officials to Independence Day parties they host on or around July 4th.

You can’t make this stuff up! Can you imagine the party atmosphere as members of our government around the world (on the most patriotic day in our country) attempt to mingle with our greatest enemy? This is the day marking our freedom! How would any Iranian find any value in this?
Four staples of a 4th of July Party:
1. Red, white and blue everywhere and many mini-American flags flying: Probably not a good idea to rub this in.
2. Alcohol being consumed: Strictly forbidden. Devout Muslims will not even be in a room where it is served
3. Pork on the grill:Not an approved dietary item
4. The lighting of devices which can travel great distances: No comment

Now, if you are an American and a practicing Muslim please do not take offense to this. I am having fun at Obama’s expense and the potential awkwardness of the situation not yours. You have embraced this country, members of the Iranian government have not.

However, current economic crisis or not what the heck is Barry thinking? Its like he saw that movie The American President with Michael Douglas and decided he could be like him. I mean dinner and movie in NYC? The night before the announcement of the bankruptcy of an American institution that will mean the losses of thousands of more jobs. Am I the only only completely batty about this? I like it how they said he downsized to a small Gulfstream instead of taking Air Force One and paid for the theater tickets out of own pocket. How much did this cost us? HOW MUCH DID THIS COST US? Just another example of the perceived invincibility of the man. A complete study in narcissism.

At the press conference today announcing GM’s Chapter 11 filing he tried to appeal to the employees of GM by his typical attempt to be just like them. Who in Livonia Michigan can relate to this guy and who can justify his actions? Who!

Its all about the money!

File this one under the priorities category. As everyone who is not currently living with their parents is aware, the economy is not doing so hot. One of the hardest hit states is California. The Governator is trying sell everything to assist in balancing the budget. So, a visit by the President would be a very nice thing. You know, uplifting, encouraging, a great way to make money..what? (From NBC Los Angeles.com) :

President Barack Obama visited Beverly Hills Wednesday for a Democratic National Committee event that was expected to raise between $3 million and $4 million because of a hefty $30,400 price tag….Tickets to the reception at the Beverly Hilton, which featured performances Jennifer Hudson and Earth, Wind and Fire and the president. went for a base price of $1,000, VIP seats went for $2,500, according to Hari Sevugan, the national press secretary for the Democratic National Committee.
Admission to what was described as a separate “dinner and discussion” cost $30,400 per couple, which matches the maximum yearly individual contribution to a national committee under federal law.

When they are about to close all of the California State Parks, the freaking parks, your timing I would say could not be worse.
Great timing Barry. How much money did it cost us to get you there?

Is he gone? We have to raise some money for Harry!

So, awhile back when scolding the TARP recipients Obama laid out some rules for what they should not be doing. One of which was to not have lavish events in Las Vegas for their board members and company employees. Forgetting the merits of the fact that he is setting rules for companies in the first place, why did he have to pick on a particular City? How about just stopping at events, No events PERIOD!…. It seems that the Governor of Nevada, who is not really having the greatest last couple of years is correlating the mass cancellation of events in Las Vegas to these comments made by the president is asking for some face time with him. Obama, who will be in town for a fundraising event for (nails on chalkboard as I type his name) Harry Reid says he will not meet with the Governor. Why not? How about 15 minutes to say, ya I should have not singled your highest revenue generating city out, sorry about that. What is wrong with this? I bet you the Governor may even give him a voucher to try out that Obama magic at The Wynn or wherever he sees suited. Perhaps even comp a suite for him? Come on Barry, show some love and give the guy a few minutes. You have nothing to lose.

I like how the article outlines some hot issues to pay attention to and moves away from this introspective crap that I keep reading about. We do not need to try to completely redefine or recreate our party and get all wierd about it in the process. We need to focus on why we are who we are and expose why the current administration is not a good alternative.

King Kong will be Obama's next surprise for the people of New York

Keeping with the transparency topic of Obama’s campaign, I was not very surprised to hear about the recent photo opp that occurred yesterday with Air Force One, the Statue of Liberty,  AND fighter jets.  Awesome job Barry!  It seems that when you are President of the United States you can do anything.  Can you imagine living in the New York City/New Jersey area and seeing this?  I would have started running, screaming, and urinating at the same time.  How much did this cost?  Let’s see:  one Air Force One, 2(?) fighter jets, an amazing amount of panic, many pairs of pants, employee hours missed due to evacuation of work….Nice!

My next suggestion is to put King Kong (not the new one from the Jack Black movie, but the original) on the Empire State Building without warning and see what happens.  Awaken the beast!  See who you can scare!
