Obama and NAFTA

Have you ever spoken ill of someone behind their back and then been in their presence after they heard what you said? If so, how have you handled it? If you remember during the election Obama, catering to the unions which are responsible for huge campaign donations and votes, was pretty clear that NAFTA was a bad idea and he would tackle this topic head on.  A year ago, McCain actually questioned how Obama would handle this:

My favorite quote? CTV reported Wednesday night that a “senior member” of Obama’s “campaign team” telephoned Canadian Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Wilson within the last month “and warned him that Obama would speak out against NAFTA” but that “the criticisms would only be campaign rhetoric, and should not be taken at face value.”

WTF? Today, the president was in Canada for his first trip outside of the United States. How do you think it went? Did he confront our friends from up north with his campaign promises made to Americans in order to get votes? I.Think.Not.

Did Obama change his tune on his campaign promises? Come on.
