Sorry, W wore us out! We will be back in 2012 when a Republican is back in office.

Sorry, W wore us out! We will be back in 2012 when a Republican is back in office.

Can anyone answer that? Anyway, got a big kick out of Hillary’s interview on CBS News with Katie Couric a couple of days ago. First of all, welcome back Hillary! Are you not so psyched that you took this job? Other than falling and breaking a bone in an ‘unfortunate accident’ (see Vince Foster) you really have not gotten much exposure or done much, eh? Regardless, happy to see her actually answering some questions instead of having Barry and Mr. Vice President doing her work for her.
Regarding the interview, I really liked how Couric referred to McChrystal as one of Barry’s ‘advisors’ Ya, he has the same amount of say that Raum does on what is going on in the big Afghan, come on! Also, really got a kick out of this exchange:

Couric: Let me ask you a couple of questions about the situation there. Do you think the situation is deteriorating in Afghanistan?

Clinton: I think it’s mixed. I think that– certainly– as we’ve now seen, General McChrystal’s– assessment was that it– is deteriorating. That the Taliban have– the momentum. That they are much more aggressive. They are better equipped. They are– moving– more broadly in the country than they had been before. At the same time, I think there are some positive– developments that may not get the attention, because they’re not in the headlines.

A lot has change in Afghanistan in the last eight years. Many more people, particularly children– women, girls, are, you know, back in school. They get health care. There’s a lot of positive developments, the university enrollment, including many, many young women students is up.

Does Hillary’s answer sound familiar? It was the same answer that every freaking member of W’s ‘advisors’ said about Iraq. The. Same. Why did Couric not pounce on this? I think you know why.

Freaking disgusting.

Barry, owning the media has worked for me! Happy to see you are testing it out. My necklace is pretty

I do not know if anyone is familiar with the pending ABC News program dedicated to the Obama health care plan that is scheduled to air on June 24th but this does seem a bit troubling. Basically, the White House is working with ABC in developing the special. So, one of the big three networks is working with the president to advance his agenda? Sounds a little like state run media to me. Sounds a lot like Iran or Venezuela.
What is even more shocking and first broken in The Drudge Report is that ABC is refusing to air any advertising that aims to go against Obama’s push. Here is the link to the article:

I am very curious to see this and even more curious if their media brethren even bring this up.

Hey Barry, where's the beef?

Hey Barry, where's the beef?

How did I do it? You do believe me? Of course you do not because I have zero facts to back my claims up.
This is the way I have felt for the last couple of months regarding the claims made by Obama and his team regarding all the progress allegedly made in the area of job creation. Seemed a bit vague to me but of course know one would dare question it….
Needless to say, it was refreshing to see the piece below on CBS News last night (Due to the fact that I am an idiot and cannot figure out how to embed video onto this site, below is the link to the piece):

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=5081969n

Think that CBS News has turned into a right-wing mouthpiece now? Below is an article sent to me via a reader from the Wall Street Journal:

Questioning the authenticity of statements made by anyone in public office is our Constitutional right. I hope more media outlets remember this.

Why did they not laugh at my Obama joke?

Why did they not laugh at my Obama joke?

Interesting article a couple of days ago from Greg Braxton of the L.A. Times specifically regarding the lack of comedians making fun of the new President and how he is basically ‘off limits’. Here is the article:

http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/la-et-obama-jokes4-2009may04,0,3871378.story

Among many of my favorite exerpts comes from someone I do not like, Bill Maher:

Not long after the historic presidential election, Maher joked that Republicans were feeling particularly superstitious: “They say the country is having bad luck because there’s a black cat in the White House.” The studio audience erupted in loud groans and boos — a reaction, Maher observed in a recent interview, that exceeded his often scathing attacks on organized religion.

“Obama is the new God,” quipped Maher of the poorly received dig, which he pointed out pokes at conservatives more than the commander in chief.(end)

Interesting. Isn’t a comedian a comedian? Since when did a true comedian ever struggle with finding something humorous about anything or anyone? Especially someone like Maher who essentially prides himself on being an intellectually superior human capable of shredding anyone who opposes him by using wit and examples to back his argument up. Perhaps there was more to the W jokes for the last 8 years? Perhaps the late night/T.V. comedians have liberal writers who would not dare write anything mean about the chosen one? Does being funny now mean you will get bad ratings? Is Obama really God and infallible? What do you think?

Well, he is at it again.  Ultra-lovable and all around good guy, according to the media (did you know he has been touched by tragedy?), VP Joe Biden made quite a statement this morning on The Today Show.  I must admit while watching it and enjoying my bowl of Passion Mango Granola I snapped out of my inhaling when I heard Matt Lauer ask him what he would tell his family if they were about to travel on a plane.  After asking Joe Biden a deeply personal question it is always a very fun and suspenseful moment when waiting for his answer. Here it is:

Joe. . .probably best to stick with the administration’s answer and not always say what you would do.  I know you suffer from some of the same narcissistic qualities as Barry; but you work for someone Joe, and people do listen to you now.  I am also sure that the airlines will use this as an excuse for bailout funds due to the large amount of cancelled plane tickets made today and in the near future.

Just lie and say you want to be like me Miss California

Just lie and say you want to be like me Miss California

I am trying to figure out what the big deal is here…. So, in the 2009 Miss USA Pageant last night, Miss California Carrie Prejean was asked a question regarding her stance on gay marriage.  She answered honestly and was booed. Guess what here answer was?  Just joking.  So, why was she asked this question in the first place?  Why was she booed? Why are people making a big deal about this?  Could it be that our society is so used to hearing what they expect to hear from anyone trying to get a vote that many are shocked that this answer was not they way they thought it should be?  Has our society forgotten that honesty is the ethical direction to go regardless of the circumstances?  Why in the F is a pageant contestant being asked a question like this anyway?  What ever happened to questions like: If you were a flag what colors would you be?
I must say the fact that Perez Hilton, who is just a piece of crap. . . not because he is gay, but rather because he is just a piece of crap, and that Ms. Prejean is from California, really make the story even more compelling to me:

Hilton used his crap blog to “call Prejean “a dumb b—-.”   He later apologized in the blog, offering to take Prejean out for coffee and a “talk.”

What are you going to talk about?  Your apology?:

“I was floored,”  Hilton told ABCNews.com Monday.  “I haven’t said this before, but to her credit, I applaud her for her honesty.  However, she is not a politician.  She’s a hopeful Miss USA.  Miss USA should represent everyone.  Her answer alienated millions of gay and lesbian Americans, their families, and their supporters.”

So, if she was a politician it would be okay to lie or mislead in order to appeal to as many people as possible?  I wonder who you voted for in the last election oh king of crap.

Real or Robot?

One of the major bashes on W for the 8 years he was in office was his tendency to mangle his words. Now, we have a President who uses a teleprompter like I use a dictionary when writing my posts. Which do you prefer? I think a teleprompter is a good thing for major speeches and basically a necessity. However, at a press conference? Shouldn’t you know the issues and be able to elaborate on them well enough that you do not need one? Is Obama’s use of one all of the time an indication that he he not very polished after all and certainly not ready for prime time? Is it used this often to avoid the scrutiny that he so dearly hates? Look at two instances when he did not use one. On Leno he certainly did not have that Special Olympics reference pre-loaded into the device did he? How about the most recent and (seems like70th) 60 Minutes interview with the nutty and psychotic laughter episode. Was that planned? Something to think about and yes, the freaking teleprompter has its own blog-well, not really but here:

Like him or hate him he has an opinion and he backs it up with facts. He also seems in this article below to agree with me regarding our President’s infatuation with the media’s criticism of him:

Is Commenting on Leno Next?

My favorite quote? ”

We are living in dangerous times and the folks know it. Fighting with a radio talk-show host may be entertaining, but it is certainly not presidential.”

Is Commenting on Leno Next?

One of the reasons I started this blog (see About section) was because I was amazed at the media coverage surrounding the coronation election of Obama.  I always wondered what would happen when the coverage turned to be what I always expected any true candidate (see McCain) would go through.  After he won the election, my curiosity grew with regard to how President Obama would handle the scrutiny.  Well, I think my questions have been answered.  Although the mainstream media has pretty much stayed true to their ways, there have been some interesting comments receiving amazing attention lately. Have you seen the comments made in the last couple of weeks from Obama, his henchmen Chief of Staff, and his Press Secretary regarding the comments made by Rush, that funny guy from CNBC, and others? I do not get it. It is not very presidential to me to even answer remarks made by media people who perhaps favor the other party. Is it to you? Why even bother yourself? I have to admit that it is rather amusing to listen to Robert Gibbs! Keep it up Bob!
