Sorry, W wore us out! We will be back in 2012 when a Republican is back in office.

Sorry, W wore us out! We will be back in 2012 when a Republican is back in office.

Can anyone answer that? Anyway, got a big kick out of Hillary’s interview on CBS News with Katie Couric a couple of days ago. First of all, welcome back Hillary! Are you not so psyched that you took this job? Other than falling and breaking a bone in an ‘unfortunate accident’ (see Vince Foster) you really have not gotten much exposure or done much, eh? Regardless, happy to see her actually answering some questions instead of having Barry and Mr. Vice President doing her work for her.
Regarding the interview, I really liked how Couric referred to McChrystal as one of Barry’s ‘advisors’ Ya, he has the same amount of say that Raum does on what is going on in the big Afghan, come on! Also, really got a kick out of this exchange:

Couric: Let me ask you a couple of questions about the situation there. Do you think the situation is deteriorating in Afghanistan?

Clinton: I think it’s mixed. I think that– certainly– as we’ve now seen, General McChrystal’s– assessment was that it– is deteriorating. That the Taliban have– the momentum. That they are much more aggressive. They are better equipped. They are– moving– more broadly in the country than they had been before. At the same time, I think there are some positive– developments that may not get the attention, because they’re not in the headlines.

A lot has change in Afghanistan in the last eight years. Many more people, particularly children– women, girls, are, you know, back in school. They get health care. There’s a lot of positive developments, the university enrollment, including many, many young women students is up.

Does Hillary’s answer sound familiar? It was the same answer that every freaking member of W’s ‘advisors’ said about Iraq. The. Same. Why did Couric not pounce on this? I think you know why.

Hey Barry, wanna come hang with me in my tent? I got cookies!

Does anyone else find it a bit scary that Barry is so popular among nutbag leaders from other countries? One of the best lines ever:

“We are content and happy if Obama can stay forever as the president,”

Of course you are. He will never hold you responsible for anything, will empower you and will make you look like you have the support of the free world. Nice.

I think the reporter for CBS News said it best after covering the speech for their network (not word for word): “It was a speech that was well delivered, yet not one mention of any direct plan”. What is new? What did you expect? The main difference between what we have in the White House now and what we had when W was in office is this exact situation. Even if Bush was given speech lessons from Reagan or Tony Robbins for 200 days straight he would never put himself in the situations that Obama puts himself in. Why? Because there is really no value other than to keep a campaign promise. This is value for Obama. What value does this have for America? Does anyone really think that one terrorist saw this speech and is now a changed man? No, Bush delivered cold, hard, non-pc facts and Obama delivers fluff. This speech accomplished nothing for this country. Nothing.

For probably the best breakdown of this speech, I urge you to click on this link below. Excellent stuff!

You want to party with me?

You want to party with me?

In a new overture to Iran, the Obama administration has authorized U.S. embassies around the world to invite Iranian officials to Independence Day parties they host on or around July 4th.

You can’t make this stuff up! Can you imagine the party atmosphere as members of our government around the world (on the most patriotic day in our country) attempt to mingle with our greatest enemy? This is the day marking our freedom! How would any Iranian find any value in this?
Four staples of a 4th of July Party:
1. Red, white and blue everywhere and many mini-American flags flying: Probably not a good idea to rub this in.
2. Alcohol being consumed: Strictly forbidden. Devout Muslims will not even be in a room where it is served
3. Pork on the grill:Not an approved dietary item
4. The lighting of devices which can travel great distances: No comment

Now, if you are an American and a practicing Muslim please do not take offense to this. I am having fun at Obama’s expense and the potential awkwardness of the situation not yours. You have embraced this country, members of the Iranian government have not.

Now can we discuss some other items?

Now can we discuss some other items?

Whew! That took some time. Three months into his last term Obama finally found some common sense and decided that it was probably not the best time to release pictures of prisoner abuse by the U.S. military. Whoever it was from the Pentagon that finally changed his mind, I nominate him to lead the Republican Party, be the next Supreme Court Justice, and be the U.S. Ambassador to North Korea, Iran AND Pakistan. Whoever you are, you did the impossible: You angered the ACLU while a Dem is in office!

I Am Getting The F Out of Here!

I Am Getting The F Out of Here!

So, I am a bit confused here.  The President of Pakistan, also known as the genius who let the Taliban rent some space in his country, is supposed to be meeting with Obama and the soon to be replaced Afghanistan (President Hamid Karzai) guy tomorrow in Washington.  Does the timing of this seem a bit odd?  I mean, there are some pretty scary issues going on in your country!  Your nuclear arsenal is not 100% safe by any means and you decide to leave the country? I know Obama is a man who cannot be denied, and meeting with him is such a privilege,  but do you think that maybe he should delay the meeting for a couple of weeks?  I mean what is more important?

Can you imagine what would happen in America if we were faced with a crisis and Obama flew off to meet with President of Iceland?  It would be great for me because I could put a funny snow monster in the picture section of my posts,  but not such a good idea for the country.  My advice?  Stay home, Asif, and tend to your issues up north.

P.S. – Picture is of Iron Sheik, not President of Pakistan-Why? Because I can.

Hello Iran, Can We Hang?

Author: Admin account
04 14th, 2009

Is it the priority of this administration to jump into everything, I mean everything, and reverse years of policy just to look like they are doing something?  My biggest fear when electing this man was regarding foreign policy.  We saw at the G20 that the media’s love affair tansfers over to Europe and any moron would be able to capiltalize on that.  Well now we move onto the countries who hate us and we decide to kiss their ass as well? Do we have any spine? Please Barry, there is nothing wrong with taking a stand, nothing. There is nothing wrong with ignoring a rogue nation who decides not to listen to us. You do not need to be the most popular man on the planet, you do not need to drastically change policies that have worked.

You ever get a bad gift? Ever get a bad gift from someone after putting a lot of thought into the gift you gave them? This is kind of old but very funny!

“a penholder carved from the timbers of an anti-slavery ship. The sister ship, in fact, of the one that was broken up and turned into the desk in the Oval Office.” Holy crap! nice gift Prime Minister, Mr. Obama? Eh, not so much.

Our New Ambassador to Ireland

Author: Admin account
03 22nd, 2009

O.K. This is a bit tough as a huge Steelers fan but here we go.

Fact: Life Long Republican
Fact: Family is responsible for being in charge of the #1 NFL franchise ever
Fact: Supported Obama (see “Super Bowl Sunday”) under categories
Fact: First words out of mouth after Steelers win was to thank the President
Fact: He is the new ambassador to Ireland

I refuse to believe there is any possibility that Dan Rooney would ever do anything shady.Ever.

Rooney has been an incredible advocate for all of Ireland (even though he is half Irish) for years. HOWEVER, if you pay you can play and I would never put anything past this president regarding rewarding support. In essense, Rooney was a touchdown for him and we know what a great job he does with those folks.

http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/postedsports/archive/2009/03/17/steelers-chairman-rooney-named-ambassador-to-ireland.aspx

I hope the 76 year old Rooney enjoys his post and still pays attention to his franchise. We expect to win #7 this year and do not want him to be distracted.
