Can anyone answer that? Anyway, got a big kick out of Hillary’s interview on CBS News with Katie Couric a couple of days ago. First of all, welcome back Hillary! Are you not so psyched that you took this job? Other than falling and breaking a bone in an ‘unfortunate accident’ (see Vince Foster) you really have not gotten much exposure or done much, eh? Regardless, happy to see her actually answering some questions instead of having Barry and Mr. Vice President doing her work for her.
Regarding the interview, I really liked how Couric referred to McChrystal as one of Barry’s ‘advisors’ Ya, he has the same amount of say that Raum does on what is going on in the big Afghan, come on! Also, really got a kick out of this exchange:

Couric: Let me ask you a couple of questions about the situation there. Do you think the situation is deteriorating in Afghanistan?

Clinton: I think it’s mixed. I think that– certainly– as we’ve now seen, General McChrystal’s– assessment was that it– is deteriorating. That the Taliban have– the momentum. That they are much more aggressive. They are better equipped. They are– moving– more broadly in the country than they had been before. At the same time, I think there are some positive– developments that may not get the attention, because they’re not in the headlines.

A lot has change in Afghanistan in the last eight years. Many more people, particularly children– women, girls, are, you know, back in school. They get health care. There’s a lot of positive developments, the university enrollment, including many, many young women students is up.

Does Hillary’s answer sound familiar? It was the same answer that every freaking member of W’s ‘advisors’ said about Iraq. The. Same. Why did Couric not pounce on this? I think you know why.

D'oh!

America was worried about Palin? As I have pointed out in other posts, the current Veep has this much adored personality of being the king of gaffe’s. He is sooooo much cuter than W and Gerald Ford, I mean he HAS been touched by tragedy, hasn’t he??? On a more serious note, I have also wondered when this will be of any concern to anyone? Bueller? From Newsweek:

Joe Biden reveals the bunker-like room is at the Naval Observatory in Washington, where Cheney lived for eight years and which is now home to Biden. The veep related the story to his head-table dinner mates when he filled in for President Obama at the Gridiron Club earlier this year. He said the young naval officer giving him a tour of the residence showed him the hideaway, which is behind a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock with a narrow connecting hallway lined with shelves filled with communications equipment. The officer explained that when Cheney was in lock down, this was where his most trusted aides were stationed, an image that Biden conveyed in a way that suggested we shouldn’t be surprised that the policies that emerged were off the wall.

If there is a Liberal out there who and is honestly still backing their man based on the simple phrase that I recall hearing throughout the election: “I believe that Barack Obama will do excatly what he says”, I would like to invite you to a session of hypnotism anonymous. Wow! Are the events of the last month exactly what I have been thinking and saying would happen? Simply put (and we are only five months into this) Obama is starting to go against everything that he stood for in the campaign. He is getting hit hard with reality. You see, liberals love ideas, in fact; they absolutely embrace ideas. Ideas are safe. Ideas make you feel really good. It is putting these ideas into action that scares the heck out of them. Here are some ideas followed by reality.

Close all of Gitmo! Where are you going to put the people who are in Gitmo?
Prosecute all people involved in waterboarding! You mean Dems knew about this? Nancy? Oops!
Release pictures of all terrorists who were “tortured” by American troops! You mean that may cause problems with our troops and make me look like a doofus?
The public will have 5 days to view any policy I introduce! It is called transparency! Does that count if I have dial up?
It will be impossible for any pork barrel projects to be put in any bill that I pass! Uh….

This is an amazing realization to anyone who bought into the crap which was his candidacy. If you know someone who fell for these ideas will you take some time out of your busy day and ask them what they think? Has anyone you work with or live by taken any of those “hope” or “change” stickers off of their car and replaced them with a “Free The Elephant 2012″ magnet?

Whew! That took some time. Three months into his last term Obama finally found some common sense and decided that it was probably not the best time to release pictures of prisoner abuse by the U.S. military. Whoever it was from the Pentagon that finally changed his mind, I nominate him to lead the Republican Party, be the next Supreme Court Justice, and be the U.S. Ambassador to North Korea, Iran AND Pakistan. Whoever you are, you did the impossible: You angered the ACLU while a Dem is in office!

King Kong will be Obama's next surprise for the people of New York

Keeping with the transparency topic of Obama’s campaign, I was not very surprised to hear about the recent photo opp that occurred yesterday with Air Force One, the Statue of Liberty,  AND fighter jets.  Awesome job Barry!  It seems that when you are President of the United States you can do anything.  Can you imagine living in the New York City/New Jersey area and seeing this?  I would have started running, screaming, and urinating at the same time.  How much did this cost?  Let’s see:  one Air Force One, 2(?) fighter jets, an amazing amount of panic, many pairs of pants, employee hours missed due to evacuation of work….Nice!

My next suggestion is to put King Kong (not the new one from the Jack Black movie, but the original) on the Empire State Building without warning and see what happens.  Awaken the beast!  See who you can scare!

As posted on 4/17/09 Janet is doing an excellent job of mucking up her position as the head of the DHS. After stating clearly that vets can be viewed as extremists and potential terrorist threats, she has gone ahead and gotten on the bad side of Canada. Canada you ask? Yes, Canada. Other than a good Molson or occasional joke about a French-Canadian rarely does one hear much about our friends up north. In the spirit of kicking a puppy or shaking a baby, that did not stop Janet from stating that some of the terrorists from 9/11 and others have entered our country via the border we share. You see…I am not one of the people looking to get her fired. I like this! She is a perfect example of someone very similar to our president, not ready for prime time. She actually illuminates my previous points and proofs regarding the vetting process. Keep it up Janet and maybe your boss will actually have to make a hard decision on his own.

You ever make a definitive statement about something, I mean definitive?  Once I said  “I will never, ever live in Erie, PA, ever!’” Two years later I moved and spent 9 years there.
If you are President of the United States, you should have a pretty firm belief in what you are saying at all times.  The country needs to feel like our leader is strong, stands by what he says, and will never be swayed regardless of the pressure he feels.  Well, what just happened over the course of 48 hours?

Look, although it is a popular Liberal belief that W’s people should pay for their shameful treatment of the people who wanted to kill us, Obama decided against any formal prosecution of them.  I agreed with him.  But no so fast…. from: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/22/us/politics/22intel.html?_r=1&hp

What happened?  Simple, he buckled. Essentially, this is the first time that he openly went against a huge liberal agenda item and he choked, BIG TIME.  Why is this a big deal to you, other than the obvious fact that our President bit the big one?  Because, as I have stated before and I will state again, this is an emotional issue;  not one for the benefit of anyone other than peace loving nut bags.  Here is a FACT for you.  Previous Head of the CIA, General Michael Hayden in an interview stated that 60% of our intelligence gathered regarding al Qaeda were from the two members of that organization who we treated so inhumanley.  What is your fact Dems?  It is mean?

Watch Out Veterans!

Well, what can you say? Right wing extremists are not just a figment of Hillary Clinton’s imagination, now they have found their way as a terrorist threat and they are actually people who have fought to defend our country! Now, in an apology only befitting a person who just realized that she potentially cost her boss any shot at the veteran vote (IF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY DOES SOMETHING ABOUT IT) and just made an amazingly nutty mistake (From Fox News):

Uh, duh?  I heard her in an actual interview on television not taking any blame for the final copy and that it was ‘legalese’ after the document had left her hands.  Sound familiar?  The facts are these:
1. Another awful person in Obama’a cabinet
2. Another anti-military leftist pig who does not recognize the importance of our military men and women in the protection and security of our country past, present and future. How you gonna call to defend your Arizona border, Janet?
3. Another embarrassment for Obama’s cabinet-Do you remember the scorn for Ashcroft? He did nothing comparable to this beast-Where is the love, media?

So, this is a bit of a head scratcher. I stumbled upon this last week but forgot to post it. It seems that rather UNTRANSPARENTLY (word?) Obama has eliminated the W law allowing pilots to carry firearms in the cockpit. What is even more amazing is the fact that pilots actually were allowed to carry weapons up until 1987. Why is this a big deal for Obama? What harm did this cause? Did you ever hear about any pilot abusing this privilege? Very odd and another example of this administration imposing its will on the American people.
