Biden is New Head of CDC-Airlines Not Happy
Author: Admin account
04 30th, 2009Well, he is at it again. Ultra-lovable and all around good guy, according to the media (did you know he has been touched by tragedy?), VP Joe Biden made quite a statement this morning on The Today Show. I must admit while watching it and enjoying my bowl of Passion Mango Granola I snapped out of my inhaling when I heard Matt Lauer ask him what he would tell his family if they were about to travel on a plane. After asking Joe Biden a deeply personal question it is always a very fun and suspenseful moment when waiting for his answer. Here it is:
http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2009/04/biden_planes_trains_bad_idea_w.html
Joe. . .probably best to stick with the administration’s answer and not always say what you would do. I know you suffer from some of the same narcissistic qualities as Barry; but you work for someone Joe, and people do listen to you now. I am also sure that the airlines will use this as an excuse for bailout funds due to the large amount of cancelled plane tickets made today and in the near future.

Tax Man Can Rest Now-Sebelius Sworn in-Obama Cabinet Complete
Author: Admin account
04 29th, 2009
As I have noted in many entries (see ‘Cabinet’ under the categories section), the irony of the party that loves to tax Americans nominating people who have trouble paying their taxes to offices of extreme influence has made me laugh on many occasions. So it is a bit sad for me today as the last of the tax cheats has been signed, sealed, and delivered into the Obama cabinet (from CNN.COM):
“Sebelius also revealed in March that she recently paid nearly $8,000 in back taxes and interest. She said she had errors in her 2005, 2006 and 2007 tax returns.”
Happy she is in to take care of the swine flu, but I will miss Big Janet and her amazingly articulate press conferences as she stood in for the ex-Gov.

Liberal Arrogance?
Author: Admin account
04 29th, 2009No, really? Actually realized that I have not shared some good opinions (other than my own of course) lately. Here is a great Op-Ed from the L.A. Times by Jonah Goldberg:
http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-goldberg28-2009apr28,1,371533.column
My favorite quote is actually taken from Charles Schumer:
“The world has changed,” Sen. Charles E. Schumer of New York proclaimed on MSNBC. “The old Reagan philosophy that served them well politically from 1980 to about 2004 and 2006 is over. But the hard right, which still believes … [in] traditional values kind of arguments and strong foreign policy, all that is over.”
Right. “Family values” and a “strong foreign policy” belong next to the “free silver” movement in the lexicon of dead political causes. ”
He said it, not me. You can always count on a good quote from the Senator to start your day off well and especially describe the first 100 days.

Obama to Have King Kong in Next Photo Opp
Author: Admin account
04 28th, 2009Keeping with the transparency topic of Obama’s campaign, I was not very surprised to hear about the recent photo opp that occurred yesterday with Air Force One, the Statue of Liberty, AND fighter jets. Awesome job Barry! It seems that when you are President of the United States you can do anything. Can you imagine living in the New York City/New Jersey area and seeing this? I would have started running, screaming, and urinating at the same time. How much did this cost? Let’s see: one Air Force One, 2(?) fighter jets, an amazing amount of panic, many pairs of pants, employee hours missed due to evacuation of work….Nice!
My next suggestion is to put King Kong (not the new one from the Jack Black movie, but the original) on the Empire State Building without warning and see what happens. Awaken the beast! See who you can scare!

Obama To Crack Down on Gassy Foods Next Month
Author: Admin account
04 24th, 2009Breaking News: Because Americans cannot say no to beans, nuts, red meat, and cabbage; President Obama will soon announce sweeping legislation geared at limiting companies from selling these products. Asked for comment, Robert Gibbs stated this morning at his press briefing : “Despite the fact that these products are known to cause flatulence, upset stomach, and general embarrassment in social situations when taken in excess, President Obama feels that the companies need to be punished for this because the motivations to sell their products are based on making money and have no conscience for the side effects if caution is ignored by the consumer or at least a Beano is taken.”
Okay, a slight fib, but is this a stretch? I may sound like a jerk here, but I need to vent. Yesterday’s meeting that Obama had with the heads of the major credit card companies scares the heck out of me. So, you are a consumer who decides you want to have a credit card, you sign up after reading the document (right?) and begin charging everything or very little on it. All of the sudden your credit amount is decreased and/or if you are late on a payment your interest rate increases. This sucks. Is it something your President should take care of? If you answer yes, go move to another country.
This is an example of the seeds of socialism being planted everyday. The most unfortunate aspect of this is that when we sit back and allow something like this to happen, it becomes an accepted thing. We lose more of our individual rights and start depending on the government to represent, resecure, and relieve us. Slowly but surely we disappear as individuals and become one big government. We become nothing.

Strange Brew: Janet Napolitano is a Hoser, Eh?
Author: Admin account
04 23rd, 2009As posted on 4/17/09 Janet is doing an excellent job of mucking up her position as the head of the DHS. After stating clearly that vets can be viewed as extremists and potential terrorist threats, she has gone ahead and gotten on the bad side of Canada. Canada you ask? Yes, Canada. Other than a good Molson or occasional joke about a French-Canadian rarely does one hear much about our friends up north. In the spirit of kicking a puppy or shaking a baby, that did not stop Janet from stating that some of the terrorists from 9/11 and others have entered our country via the border we share. From Michelle Malkin (I like the picture and am psyched that I used it first!-Thanks Gent):
http://michellemalkin.com/2009/04/22/janet-napolitano-screws-up-again/
You see…I am not one of the people looking to get her fired. I like this! She is a perfect example of someone very similar to our president, not ready for prime time. She actually illuminates my previous points and proofs regarding the vetting process. Keep it up Janet and maybe your boss will actually have to make a hard decision on his own.

Seesaw Rides are Fun
Author: Admin account
04 22nd, 2009You ever make a definitive statement about something, I mean definitive? Once I said “I will never, ever live in Erie, PA, ever!’” Two years later I moved and spent 9 years there.
If you are President of the United States, you should have a pretty firm belief in what you are saying at all times. The country needs to feel like our leader is strong, stands by what he says, and will never be swayed regardless of the pressure he feels. Well, what just happened over the course of 48 hours?
Look, although it is a popular Liberal belief that W’s people should pay for their shameful treatment of the people who wanted to kill us, Obama decided against any formal prosecution of them. I agreed with him. But no so fast…. from: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/22/us/politics/22intel.html?_r=1&hp
“President Obama left the door open Tuesday to creating a bipartisan commission that would investigate the Bush administration’s use of harsh interrogation techniques on terrorism suspects, and did not rule out action by the Justice Department against those who fashioned the legal rationale for those techniques. The remarks, in response to questions from reporters in the Oval Office, amounted to a shift for the White House. The president had repeatedly said that the nation should look forward rather than focusing on the past, and his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, said Sunday in a television interview that Mr. Obama believed that “those who devised policy” should not be prosecuted.”
What happened? Simple, he buckled. Essentially, this is the first time that he openly went against a huge liberal agenda item and he choked, BIG TIME. Why is this a big deal to you, other than the obvious fact that our President bit the big one? Because, as I have stated before and I will state again, this is an emotional issue; not one for the benefit of anyone other than peace loving nut bags. Here is a FACT for you. Previous Head of the CIA, General Michael Hayden in an interview stated that 60% of our intelligence gathered regarding al Qaeda were from the two members of that organization who we treated so inhumanley. What is your fact Dems? It is mean?

Miss California Answers Questions Honestly, Gets Booed, World Ends
Author: Admin account
04 20th, 2009I am trying to figure out what the big deal is here…. So, in the 2009 Miss USA Pageant last night, Miss California Carrie Prejean was asked a question regarding her stance on gay marriage. She answered honestly and was booed. Guess what here answer was? Just joking. So, why was she asked this question in the first place? Why was she booed? Why are people making a big deal about this? Could it be that our society is so used to hearing what they expect to hear from anyone trying to get a vote that many are shocked that this answer was not they way they thought it should be? Has our society forgotten that honesty is the ethical direction to go regardless of the circumstances? Why in the F is a pageant contestant being asked a question like this anyway? What ever happened to questions like: If you were a flag what colors would you be?
I must say the fact that Perez Hilton, who is just a piece of crap. . . not because he is gay, but rather because he is just a piece of crap, and that Ms. Prejean is from California, really make the story even more compelling to me:
Hilton used his crap blog to “call Prejean “a dumb b—-.” He later apologized in the blog, offering to take Prejean out for coffee and a “talk.”
What are you going to talk about? Your apology?:
“I was floored,” Hilton told ABCNews.com Monday. “I haven’t said this before, but to her credit, I applaud her for her honesty. However, she is not a politician. She’s a hopeful Miss USA. Miss USA should represent everyone. Her answer alienated millions of gay and lesbian Americans, their families, and their supporters.”
So, if she was a politician it would be okay to lie or mislead in order to appeal to as many people as possible? I wonder who you voted for in the last election oh king of crap.

Dodd Is In Trouble-Banks Are Scared
Author: Admin account
04 17th, 2009As I wrote back in March (http://freetheelephant2012.com/?s=chris+dodd&x=38&y=4) It seems that Mr. Dodd is in a wee bit of trouble. Typically if you put the words Countrywide and AIG together it equals death and this is no difference. I am please to see that the great people of Connecticut have decided to not donate any money to his re-election campaign this time around and I hope (PRAY) that the Republican Party can get organized and put a strong candidate up against whoever the Dem is Dodd or not (From Fox News):
“According to the Connecticut Post, the chairman of the Senate banking committee raised $4,250 from five state residents in the first three months of 2009. Close to 400 donors outside Connecticut made up the rest of the donations. Dodd pulled in another $437,000 from political action committees and other similar groups, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission.”
5 residents contributed? 5? Let’s put this in perspective…I have sold 5 freaking magnets so far? The Dodd 5 will not help him get elected when the votes are counted just like only 5 magent sales will certainly not help us Free The Elephant in 2012!
Thanks to Gent H. from Chapel Hill, NC for his purchase today of a magnet!
